Pat Owen has been creating one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture for more than 30 years. Specializing in rocking chairs and settees, each piece is painstakingly and skillfully crafted to last through generations of everyday use and enjoyment. His work is contemporary, geometric, and simple in style and feeling. Designed to fit the human form with comfort and ease, Pat builds furniture that performs its function with grace and elegance.

Pat is a purist when it comes to the choice of materials. He uses only the finest hardwoods, usually combining two or three exotic woods—such as bloodwood, bubinga, cocobolo, curly maple, purple heart, wengé, or zebra wood—to produce a synergism in color and design. Hand-rubbed oil and varnish finishes bring to life the warmth and luster of these exotic woods. His respect and love for the materials are at the heart of Pat’s work and permeate his pieces with a vibrancy that goes beyond craftsmanship to enhance the rituals of everyday life.

When Pat’s not working with exotic woods in his studio, he can be found on the soccer field or dispensing prescriptions as a local pharmacist.
